The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said it is possible to get political agreement on a number of issues at a crucial Eurozone summit in Brussels on Sunday.

EU Finance Ministers have begun arriving in Brussels for the talks, but France and Germany have already said there will be no agreement this weekend and have called a second meeting for next Wednesday.

Mr Kenny said, whilst some countries may have to return to their own parliament before striking a deal, he hopes conclusions will be reached this weekend.

He said: "Clearly there are differences of opinion between some of the countries here, but I do hope that politically on Sunday people can arrive at about a number of conclusions, be they about recapitalisations, restructuring or obviously the Greek situation."
