Heavy rain is easing nationwide, but motorists are being warned that some roads are still flooded in Leinster and Munster.

Heavy rain is easing nationwide, but motorists are being warned that some roads are still flooded in Leinster and Munster.

Several routes around Wexford town are impassable due to flooding, while in Wicklow, there is a minor landslide on the N11 just north of the Cullenmore junction.

In Dublin, Blake's Cross is impassable due to flooding, while Gardaí say the road from Ballyboughal to Oldtown is too.

Flooding between Junction 2 and Junction 3 on the M1 and caution is advised under the bridge at Junction 4 on the M1.

James Larkin Road between the Greendale entrance and Watermill Road entrance is flooded as is Alymer Road, Newcastle.

They are urging all road users to exercise extreme caution, drive with lights on and leave for your destination in plenty of time.

Meanwhile, rail services are back to normal.
