Families evacuated after Dublin gas leak

Bórd Gáis is investigating the cause of a gas leak that resulted in a number of families being evacuated from their homes in north Dublin last night.

Bórd Gáis is investigating the cause of a gas leak that resulted in a number of families being evacuated from their homes in north Dublin last night.

The Fire Brigade, the Gardaí and technicians from Bórd Gáis worked through the night to contain the leak in the Whitehall area of the city.

The ESB was also ordered to temporarily cut power to part of the area as a precautionary measure.
