St Vincent's 94, Burger King Limerick 91
A great home win for St Vincent's, despite Mike Trimmer fouling out with six minutes to go in the last quarter.
A game high of 38 points from BJ McFarland was not enough for Limerick and the usually reliable Cleotis Brown was off form scoring a mere four points from play.
The opening quarter was basket for basket with Vincent's finishing on top 20-19.
Limerick had the better second quarter and they pulled away to take a 13point lead at half time 49-36.
Mick Richardson had a superb game for Vincent's and in the third quarter he helped Vincent's right back into the game and pushed them ahead 67-64 at the end of the third period.
With 4 and a half minutes left in the game the sides drew even 80-80 and stayed neck on neck for the closing minutes.
A vital steal from John Kelleher won the game for Vincent's.
Limerick led 91-90 but Kelleher intercepted a long pass to Brown and a basket soon followed to give Vincent's a narrow 92-91 lead with seconds remaining.
A final basket from Richardson sealed the game for Vincent's.
