Soccer: ITV's Premiership show under threat
ITV have dismissed reports that their seven o' clock flagship programme 'The Premiership' is to move to a later slot because of poor viewing figures.
ITV spokesperson, Paul Tyrrell said the station has, "no plans at all" to move the programme to to another time.
Current viewing figures average 4.4 million since the programme began.
Reports claim if viewing figures do not increase by November the 17th ITV bosses would be forced to move the programme back to 10pm and replace it with a scheduled series of Blind Date.
However Mr Tyrrell said the show already has 20 percent more viewers than Match of the Day had.
If the programme did move it would be good news for RTE's highlight programme which currently goes out at the time of 7pm.
It would also vindicate RTE's decision to challenge ITV's programme and screen the show at the same time.
Originally RTE decided not to show the highlights programme but changed their minds a week later when it came under much criticism and pressure.
