Michael Stoute's Russian Rhythm is on course for next Tuesday’s Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot despite “slight” concerns about her preparation.
The filly, winner of last year’s 1000 Guineas, took the Juddmonte Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on her seasonal bow last month.
However, she has been under the weather following that win but remains on target for the Group One event at the Royal meeting.
John Marsh, spokesman for the owners Cheveley Park Stud, told the Racing Post: “After she ran at Newbury she did have a bit of a temperature, so Michael gave her a bit of time to get over it and has been taking it day by day. She has not missed any work I believe.
“I suppose there is a slight concern but at the moment she is an intended runner at Royal Ascot.”
