Alex McLeish and John Hughes must wait until the New Year to discover whether they will be facing possible disciplinary action for comments made on Boxing Day.
Rangers boss McLeish hit out at referee Craig Thomson for handing Dunfermline an injury-time penalty, which earned the Pars a point in the 3-3 draw at East End Park.
And Hughes questioned the performance of match official Stuart Dougal after Falkirk lost 5-0 at Hearts in the Bank of Scotland Premier League.
Those remarks could land both managers in trouble with the Scottish Football Association if their comments are referred to the General Purposes Committee.
However, the holiday period means no decision will be made until at least next week.
SFA head of discipline Drew Herbertson said: “What we are talking about is a potential breach of the Association articles, and comments made are reviewed as a matter of course.
“Then the matter may be referred to the General Purposes committee to decide if there is a case to answer.
“But it is unlikely any decision will be made until next week at the earliest.”
