Man dies in Tipperary road works accident

A 55-year-old man has been killed in a workplace accident in Co Tipperary.

A 55-year-old man has been killed in a workplace accident in Co Tipperary.

The man, from Boher in Co Limerick, was an employee of Roadstone, which is carrying out road resurfacing work on the Tipperary to Bansha road.

It is understood he was killed when he became trapped behind a large tracking system.

The road has been closed to traffic and investigators from the Health and Safety Authority are on their way to the scene.
