Newcastle skipper Kevin Nolan will miss tomorrow's tough Premier League trip to Tottenham through suspension.

The 28-year-old collected his fifth booking of the season for a foul on James Milner during yesterday's 3-1 home defeat by Manchester City and will sit out the game at White Hart Lane.

Striker Shola Ameobi is likely to miss out once again with a hamstring injury, while keeper Tim Krul will continue despite his costly error against City with Steve Harper still working his way back to full fitness after shoulder surgery.

Dan Gosling (knee), Ryan Taylor (ankle ligaments) and Hatem Ben Arfa (double leg fracture) remain on the injury list.
