Around 40 graves of Germans killed in World War I have been vandalised in France ahead of a meeting between French and German leaders.

Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel are meeting in Reims to honour their reconciliation after two world wars.

The French government has called the attack "totally intolerable" and said the reasons for the incident are still unclear.
