The Taoiseach has praised the Irish people for their "patience and understanding" while the Government meets the bailout conditions.
"We've met all the commitments under the EU/IMF programme (and) have been commended as such," Enda Kenny said.
"However, the commendation for me is to thank the people of the country for their patience and understanding in a range of unpalatable choices."
He said those choices were necessary "in order to rectify our public finances and get us into a position where we can grow the potential we have".
