Body recovered from sea off Clare

The body of a man has been recovered from the sea near the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare.

The body of a man has been recovered from the sea near the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare.

No formal identification has taken place but the remains are believed to be those of a 29- year-old from the Czech Republic, who was reported missing last Sunday.

Several searches over the past week failed to locate the man.

The body was recovered by members of Doolin Coast Guard and has been taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick for a post mortem.
