Former Australian lock Warwick Waugh and promising full-back Gavin Duffy are Connacht¹s two main injury concerns as they prepare for their opening Celtic League encounter away to new Scottish side Borders in Selkirk on Friday night.

Waugh sat out Friday¹s 40-33 over Munster but is expected to fully recover from hamstring trouble to play against Borders while Connacht coach Steph Nel is hopeful that Duffy, forced to retire with a leg injury in that friendly, will also be fit to play.

Connacht, quarter-finalists in the Celtic League last season, are expected to announce their side on Monday afternoon.
