Irish raider Common World returns to England tomorrow in a bid to improve on his Lincoln run in the stanjamesuk.com Spring Cup at Newbury.

The Tom Hogan-trained six-year-old led home the far-side group at Doncaster when going down by three lengths and one to Stream Of Gold and New Seeker. The latter reopposes tomorrow.

A total of 23 will go to post for the mile handicap with Common World, the mount of Eddie Ahern, set to break from stall five.

“It is a very competitive race but he ran a blinder in the Lincoln and he didn’t have the best of the draw,” said Hogan.

“Hopefully he will be drawn on the right side tomorrow and if he is, he will run a very good race.”
