Glen Fitzpatrick scored a rare goal to give Drogheda the lead on 14 minutes.
Sligo responded when defender Gavin Peers’ scored with a header that bounce into the net.
The league’s topscorer Amond then put Sligo ahead on 26 minutes with his 11th goal of the campaign.
Ronan McEnteggert levelled for Drogheda six minutes into the second half, but Amond struck for the winner on 83 minutes.
