The familiar combination of John Oxx and Mick Kinane were in the winner's enclosure at Leopardstown today as Karasiyra stuck to her guns in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Sent off the 10-11 favourite following a pleasing fourth here on her debut in September, the daughter of Alhaarth won with a bit in hand, holding Aidan O'Brien newcomer Remember When by a neck.

Hen Knight was back in third.

Jim O'Neill, assistant to Oxx, said: "She was a bit unlucky the first time she ran.

"She's a filly that only does just enough."

Oxx and Kinane were in front again in the next race, this time teaming up with Nebula Storm.

The Galileo colt ran out a popular winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Maiden in the colours made famous by Sea The Stars.

The youngster had clearly come on for his first run at the Curragh and picked up nicely when Kinane asked for an effort.

Running on well, the 9-1 chance readily accounted for 5-2 favourite Is Feidir Linn by a length and a quarter.

O'Neill added: "He was a little disappointing at the Curragh last time out.

"We probably ran him a bit too soon."

Jamaayel (6-1) confirmed she is going the right way with an impressive success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery under promising apprentice Sam James.

The Shamardal filly got off the mark last time out over six furlongs at Dundalk and had no problems stepped up a furlong as she stretched clear inside the last.

Kevin Prendergast's charge had three and a half lengths to spare over Blaze Brightly, with Intapeace third.
