Take That perform without injured Howard
Take That’s Howard Donald was forced to pull out of a performance after being taken to hospital with a chest injury.
A statement from the band said he had sustained the injury while performing during the band’s tour of Europe.
It meant that he could not take part in a concert last night in Vienna, but the show went on at Donald’s request.
A spokeswoman for the band could not give any more information about the seriousness of the injury or how exactly it happened.
The band said in the statement last night: “Our friend’s health is of the utmost priority and we wish him a speedy recovery, we’ll make sure tonight’s show is still a fantastic experience for the fans.”
Donald, who was recovering at a hospital in Vienna, thanked Take That fans and vowed to be back on stage as soon as doctors allowed him.
He said: “I’m really disappointed and upset that this has happened, as I’ve never had to miss a show before, it’s unbelievably frustrating being sat in a hospital when I should be on stage with the guys.”
