Low-fares airline Ryanair rose 5c to €7.20 on this morning's ISEQ following the announcement of four new routes from February next year.
In a strong morning's trading, the ISEQ index of Irish shares was in positive territory, rising 64.69 points to 6925.37 by 11.05am.
The financials all made gains this morning. Bank of Ireland rose 22c to €13.33, AIB rose 17c to €18.50, Irish Life and Permenent rose 10c to €15.40 and Anglo Irish Bank rose 9c to €11.75.
Oil stocks performed well this morning. Dragon Oil rose 4c to €2.34 and Tullow Oil rose 7c to €3.90.
Bookmaker Paddy Power rose 13c to €10.70.
