Gwyneth Paltrow wants to star in ‘Come Dine With Me’.

The actress – who has two children, Apple and Moses, with her husband Chris Martin – is obsessed with the cookery competition show and would love to appear on it with her friends in a special celebrity edition.

A source said: "Gwen is obsessed with the show. She watches it every day and records the shows she can't see because of the kids or work. She is seriously hoping to get on the show herself with maybe some of her celeb pals. Think her and Madonna and maybe Ricky Gervais. It could well happen.”

‘Come Dine With Me’ is a dinner party competition series on Channel 4. Each week, the show focuses on a group of either four or five people – who take it in turns to host dinner parties for one another and are scored out of 10 for their meals.

Cooking has always played a very important role in the 37-year-old actress’ life.

Last year, Gwyneth went on tour with her cookery show 'On the Road Again' - which saw her tour around Spain with chef Mario Batali.

She is also meant to be releasing a cookbook this year, titled 'My Father's Daughter'.

While it will include a collection of recipes, the book will also “focus on the importance of togetherness at mealtime, emphasising that cooking for your family is the ultimate expression of love."
