The incoming Government is expected to review the location of the new children's hospital in Dublin.

According to the Irish Examiner, the possibility of re-locating the proposed new hospital to a site off the M50 has been discussed by Enda Kenny.

It has been reported that he, along with the party's health spokesperson James Reilly, met with those behind the project and enquired about the M50 proposal.

In a statement this morning, the Chair of the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board Eilish Hardiman said that a review of every aspect of the project is underway.

She said the board has already sought a date in the diary of the incoming Minister to inform him or her fully of all the facts.
