Perry making Brand learn to drive

Katy Perry is making Russell Brand take driving lessons, it has emerged.

The 'Firework' singer is reportedly furious that she has to chauffer the couple everywhere when they go out in Los Angeles and is begging her husband to attempt to be legally allowed on the road.

A source said: "Katy gave Russell a $100,000 (€75,691) Range Rover as a Christmas gift last year but he's never been able to use it.

"That's bugged her a bit because she's had to do all the driving and she was getting sick and tired of it.

"They spend a lot of time in LA where everyone drives and Katy finds it bizarre that he doesn't have a license. After all, she learnt to drive when she was 15."

Russell has been taking lessons but does not find driving easy, though he has promised Katy, who he married in India in October, he will continue working towards getting his license.

The source added to Now magazine: "Russell's already failed his test a couple of times in the US - he's not exactly the greatest driver.

"The problem is he gets distracted so easily, but Katy's persuaded him to get behind the wheel and keep trying. Let's hope for her sake that he manages to get his license this time around."
