It has been confirmed that Shamrock Rovers will host the mighty Real Madrid this summer.

The Spanish giants will arrive in Ireland on July 13, spending nine days at the Carton House Hotel in Kildare, where they will begin their preparations for the 2009/2010 season.

Irish football fans will have a chance of catch a glimpse at the new Galacticos on Monday July 20, when they travel to Tallaght to meet the Hoops.

Rovers season ticket holders are being given first option on match tickets tomorrow, while tickets go on general release on Monday morning, priced at €60 plus booking fee.
