Celtic have lined up a glamour friendly against Argentinian giants Boca Juniors as part of their pre-season tour of the United States.
The Hoops take on Diego Maradona’s former club on July 25 in Cleveland.
The Glasgow side were due to play AC Milan until the Serie A side pulled out and Celtic had considered returning to Scotland earlier than planned, after their friendly with Manchester United in Seattle.
That would have given Martin O’Neill’s men more time to prepare for their Champions League qualifier against either Torshavn or Kaunus on July 31.
But the club will now stay on in the States with tickets for the AC Milan game being valid for the clash against the South Americans.
