Torrance sticks with same pairs
Europe's players had their last practice session ahead of the Ryder Cup on the Belfry course as Sam Torrance put out the same pairings as yesterday.
The European captain appeared to have settled on the main partnerships he will use for the fourball and foursomes matches on Friday and Saturday as the home side attempt to regain the trophy.
Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn were together for the third day in succession, playing a foursomes match against Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia, who had also played together on Wednesday.
Rookies Phillip Price and Pierre Fulke were also together for the third day running as they took on another pair from Wednesday, Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie.
The Ireland v Sweden clash of Paul McGinley and Padraig Harrington against Niclas Fasth and Jesper Parnevik was also repeated, Harrington putting the World Cup winners ahead by converting his partner's approach shot to the 10th for a birdie.
The teams were likely to play just nine holes of practice today with the official opening ceremony starting at 3pm.
The European team had started at the 10th hole - subject of much debate over the use of the back tee making it unlikely players will attempt to drive the green - with the United States starting from the first.
