Liverpool aim to go one step closer Champions League qualification by achieving their best run of the season if they beat Newcastle at Anfield.

Boss Gerard Houllier has Jari Litmanen, Nick Barmby and Jamie Redknapp all making steady progress back to fitness, but only the Finnish star has much chance of figuring in this squad.
Houllier is likely to bring in some of the senior men who started on thebench for Tuesday’s win at Bradford, with Robbie Fowler, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer and Christian Ziege candidates for the starting line-up in what will be Liverpool’s 59th game of the season.
