The Danish telecoms consultant who oversaw the awarding of the licence to Esat Digifone has said there are "mistakes, inaccuracies and mis-understandings" in the Moriarty Report.

Michael Andersen was criticised in the report for the delay in making himself available as a witness to the inquiry.

But the telecoms consultant has rejected the criticism saying there are some inaccuracies in Justice Moriarty's comments.

He has also reiterated his belief that there was no influence on the awarding of the second mobile phone licence in Ireland.
