Man before Belfast court on arms find charges

A man is due in court in Belfast today in connection with an arms find in east Belfast on Tuesday night.

A man is due in court in Belfast today in connection with an arms find in east Belfast on Tuesday night.

Eight handguns, an assault rifle, a sawn-off shotgun, ammunition, two magazines, two pieces of body armour, gloves and balaclavas were seized by the RUC following a raid on a house off Castlereagh Road.

A 41-year-old man will appear on charges of possession of firearms and ammunition and with having articles likely to be of use to terrorists.
