Fishermen rescued from sinking trawler

Seventeen fishermen were rescued from a sinking trawler off the southwest coast this morning.

Seventeen fishermen were rescued from a sinking trawler off the southwest coast this morning.

The Spanish crew of the German-registered 'Ortegal Uno' fishing vessel were rescued by a sister ship.

The alarm was raised at around 9am this morning.

The crew are being taken back to Spain.
