Unfancied Tipperary came within a whisker of causing a Munster final sensation when forcing Cork to a replay at Semple Stadium and the sides face a replay at 3.30 in Cork next Sunday.
Tipp opened brightly with star forward Declan Browne in terrific form and led by 0 05 to 0 01 after 11 minutes.
However, a Brendan Jer O’Sullivan goal for Cork brought the Leesiders level after 18 minutes and a second goal from O’Sullivan two minutes before the break had Cork 2 07 to 0 08 in front at half time.
Battling Tipp regained the lead when substitute Benny Hickey goaled 11 minutes after the restart.
Ace freetaker Colin Corkery looked to have kicked the winning pint in the final minute of normal time but Tipp corner back Niall Kelly popped up to clinch the equaliser in the second minute of injury time.
