ESB Men’s Superleague Preview
Tyrone Towers v Abbey Foods Sligo
Venue: Dungannon Day: Saturday Time: 8pm
Although early days, Dungannon are the only team in the men’s league that are yet to prove themselves.
With three losses in as many games, the Tyrone team are struggling.
Sx3 Star v Dart Killester
Venue: Maysfield Day: Sunday Time: 2:30pm
Sx3 Star went home with heads hanging after their 92-95 defeat at the hands of Sligo last weekend and are now in the unenviable position of having lost four of their five games.
Killester are still without Jonathon Grennell this weekend but welcome back player-coach Jerome Westbrooks.
Esat Business Demons v Frosties Tigers
Venue: Parochial Hall Day: Sunday Time: 3:15pm
Esat Business Demons were written off in the pre-season tournament and their opening league defeat served to reinforce the doubt surrounding the Cork team.
Frosties Tigers are nursing crushed egos after their first defeat of the season to Waterford Crystal on bank holiday Monday.
Gleneagle Lakers v Waterford Crystal
Venue: NEC Day: Sunday Time: 3pm
St Paul’s are on the rebound from a tough week of games, having played Tralee, Limerick and Demons last week.
With three wins under their belts, and their defeat over Frosties Tigers last weekend, Waterford Crystal will be confident travelling to Killarney.
ESB Women’s Superleague
Sasha Meteors v Dart Killester
Venue: Naomh Olaf’s Day: Saturday Time: 6.45pm
Meteors had a good win over University of Limerick last weekend and have a full squad ahead of the weekend. Dart Killester are still down a number of players. Lisa Rubethon is out injured, as is Vanessa Burke.
