Forde back for Wexford

Wexford have been handed a major boost with the long-awaited return of Matty Forde to their team for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final against Dublin at Croke Park (throw-in 4pm).

Forde, who has been named at left corner forward, has been involved in some internal practice matches amongst the Wexford panel, after battling his way back from a long term back problem.

The Killanerin clubman has had a bad run of luck with injuries, missing last year's Leinster and All-Ireland Championships and Wexford's recent National League campaign.

Meanwhile, Wexford manager Jason Ryan has included two debutants in his starting line-up for the clash with the defending champions.

Joey Wadding from St. Fintan's and St. Martin's clubman Daithí Waters will make their first Championship starts at right corner back and midfield respectfully.

The team has a familiar look to it with David Murphy, this year taking the captain's role, lining out at centre-back, Redmond Barry at centre forward and PJ Banville at full-forward.

WEXFORD (SFC v Dublin): A Masterson; J Wadding, G Molloy, B Malone; C Morris, D Murphy (capt), A Doyle; D Waters, E Bradley; S Roche, R Barry, A Flynn; C Lyng, PJ Banville, M Forde.
