Stranded Irish tourists arrive in Andorra

The tour operator Panorama has said most of the Irish tourists stranded in heavy snow on the Pyrenees Mountains overnight have now arrived safely in Andorra.

The tour operator Panorama has said most of the Irish tourists stranded in heavy snow on the Pyrenees Mountains overnight have now arrived safely in Andorra.

Some of the holidaymakers are criticising the company's handling of the situation.

Shirley Barrie from Glanmire in Co Cork is one of the 45 passengers who were stuck in freezing temperatures for almost 24 hours.

She has said they have not yet been taken to their hotel and that passengers have only received a bottle of water and a sandwich each since arriving in Pas de la Casa.
