Waterford hurler Eoin Kelly is to miss out on the Munster Championship after being handed a 12 week suspension from the GAA’s Central Disciplinary Committee.
The ban relates to a forceful pull on an Offaly player during the side’s league clash at Birr on April 9.
His team-mate Paul Flynn was suspended for four weeks, having been sent off in his Waterford’s Allianz Hurling League game with Limerick on April 16.
The GAA have also confirmed the suspension for four weeks of Clare’s Frank O Dea, who was sent off in his county’s Allianz Football league game with Longford on April 9. Clare joint manager Donal Buckley was suspended for eight weeks, effective from yesterday.
Michael Mc Evoy (Laois) was noted as being suspended for four weeks from the date of the game having been sent off in his county’s Allianz Hurling league game with Wexford on April 15.
