Cork side Rockmount were delighted with their home draw against Monaghan United in the third round of the Carlsberg FAI Cup, according to the Evening Echo.

Cork side Rockmount were delighted with their home draw against Monaghan United in the third round of the Carlsberg FAI Cup, according to the Evening Echo.

Rockmount beat Monaghan in the same competition back in 1987, and boss Billy Cronin sees no reason why the lower-division club shouldn’t be able to host the tie.

“There’s no reason whatsoever why we can’t play on our own sod,” he told the Echo.
