One arrested after airport shooting
One person has been arrested after the shooting at Los Angeles International Airport, police said.
Three other people were wounded, and thousands were evacuated from the international terminal at the airport.
The shootout happened with security on high alert around the US for a possible terrorist attack during the Fourth of July holiday.
Israel’s foreign minister blamed terrorists but did not offer any evidence to support his claim and his office declined further comment.
‘‘At this point, it’s too early to rule out anything,’’ FBI spokesman Matt McGlaughlin told reporters at the airport. But he said that until more was known, the possibility could not be discounted.
