Ouija Board is reported to be on course for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday week.
The Ed Dunlop-trained filly, winner of the Oaks at Epsom, has not raced since taking the Irish equivalent at the Curragh in July.
Ouija Board had been due to contest the Yorkshire Oaks last month but soft ground at York forced her late withdrawal.
The Prix de l’Opera had been thought of as a more likely target in France but Dunlop is leaning towards tackling the big prize.
He told the Racing Post: “The number one option is the Arc. The weather forecast for the next 10 days is favourable.”
Ouija Board’s regular jockey Kieren Fallon is set to partner Derby winner North Light in the French race so Dunlop will have to find a new rider for the filly.
