Speculation is mounting over the identity of the six celebrities set to enter the Big Brother house on Wednesday.

Goldie and Les Dennis are among those reported to be taking part.

According to reports, they will be joined by Caprice, former Take That star Mark Owen and Mel Giedroyc, one of half of the comedy duo Mel and Sue.

But a Channel 4 spokeswoman says the list of inmates won't be finalised until the actual day.

Producers are thought to be looking for a replacement for former Coronation Street star Denise Welsh, who had to pull out when her son fell ill, reports Media Guardian.

Last year up to 12 million viewers tuned in to watch Claire Sweeney, Vanessa Feltz, Jack Dee, Chris Eubank, Anthea Turner and Keith Duffy on the show.
