The former Manchester United skipper was four appearances short of guaranteeing a championship medal but he replaced Aiden McGeady while Maciej Zurawski also came in for Shaun Maloney.

Hibernian manager Tony Mowbray was looking at a European place and he made just one change to the side which lost to Aberdeen with Stephen Glass coming in for Abdessalam Benjelloun.
