Woman remains in custody in connection with Clonsilla death

A 32-year-old woman has been held overnight by gardaí investigating the death of another woman at a house in West Dublin.

A 32-year-old woman has been held overnight by gardaí investigating the death of another woman at a house in West Dublin.

A post mortem is being carried out on the body of the 52-year-old, who died from serious injuries on Christmas night.

Gardaí were called to a house at Station Court Hall in Clonsilla shortly before 9.30pm on Christmas night.

They found a seriously injured woman and immediately called a doctor, but the 52-year-old died at the scene.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested at the house and brought to Blanchardstown garda station.

She is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
