Two held in murder probe

Two people were being questioned today about the murders of two men whose mutilated bodies were found in a ditch.

Two people were being questioned today about the murders of two men whose mutilated bodies were found in a ditch.

Detectives detained the men and then sealed off a house in Newry, Co Down, three miles from where the bodies were dumped.

One of the victims is a foreign national, either Polish or Lithuanian. The second has not been positively identified.

The bodies were dragged into thick undergrowth close to a golf course at Warrenpoint, Co Down.

They had been beaten and stabbed.
