US planes hit Iraqi defence systems
American warplanes have hit two air defence targets in southern Iraq.
The Pentagon says the hits were a part of a continuing effort to decrease the country’s ability to shoot down US and British warplanes.
Yesterday, Baghdad claimed it had shot an unmanned American aircraft out of the sky.
