Boy's body discovered in Sligo

The body of a 16-year-old teenage boy was discovered this morning in the back garden of a house in Sligo.

The body of a 16-year-old boy was discovered this morning in the back garden of a house in Sligo.

Gardaí received a call in Sligo at around 11am.

They were called to the Cartron housing estate where witnesses had reported seeing the body.

Assistant state pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy is on her way to the scene which has been preserved for technical examination.

Foul play is not suspected.
