Dublin gardaí arrest man in tiger-kidnapping probe

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official in Tallaght last month.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with the false imprisonment and abduction of a bank official in Tallaght last month.

The AIB employee was abducted from his home in June by three armed and masked men.

He was then forced to go to the bank where he worked in Crumlin, and take a large sum of money.

A second man, who was also taken hostage, was later released unharmed.

A man, who is in his twenties, was arrested this morning and is being detained at Tallaght garda station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
