Charlie Mulgrew has been asked to solve Celtic’s problem in central defence by teaming up with Thomas Rogne for the SPL clash with Hearts at Parkhead.

Rogne is the only recognised centre-back available to boss Neil Lennon and Mulgrew, normally a left back, replaced Daniel Majstorovic who injured a hamstring against Aberdeen on Saturday.

Lennon has made two other changes as wide man James Forrest, back from suspension, and midfielder Joe Ledley replaced Niall McGinn and Paddy McCourt, who both drop to the bench.

Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has made one change, drafting in midfielder Ian Black for Ruben Palazuelos, who starts as substitute.

Celtic: Forster, Wilson, Rogne, Mulgrew, Izaguirre, Forrest, Brown, Kayal, Ledley, Hooper, Stokes.

Subs: Zaluska, Ljungberg, McGinn, McCourt, Murphy, Juarez, Carey.

Hearts: Kello, Jonsson, Zaliukas, Bouzid, Wallace, Templeton, Black, Skacel, Mrowiec, Stevenson, Elliott.

Subs: Balogh, Palazuelos, Santana, Obua, Novikovas, Glen, Craig Thomson.
