47-year-old motorcyclist dies in Westmeath crash

A 47-year-old has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Co Westmeath last night.

A 47-year-old has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Co Westmeath last night.

The crash happened shortly after 7pm at Dalystown near Castletowngeoghan.

The motorcyclist, who is believed to have been from the locality, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two other people were also seriously injured in the accident and are being treated at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
