Political instabilty not affecting economy, says Martin
Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin said today that he is not concerned about political instability affecting the economy.
Speaking in New York, Minister Martin said although some factors, such as Anglo Irish Bank, had rattled investors, the political scene here is not causing investor concern.
That is despite the interest rate for 10-year Irish Government bonds hovering around the 7% mark today, the highest levels since the launch of the euro in 1999.
