The Democratic Unionist Party has called on British Prime Minister Tony Blair to recognise that the Good Friday Agreement cannot work.

The Democratic Unionist Party has called on British Prime Minister Tony Blair to recognise that the Good Friday Agreement cannot work.

Party spokesman Nigel Dodds said the only political arrangements that can succeed in the North are those which have the support of both communities.

"The current arrangements as contained in the Belfast Agreement have failed," he said.

"The only way forward is to return to the drawing board after an election has been held."
