The Minister for Finance lobbied the Revenue Commissioners on behalf of members of the public considerably more times than any other TD or senator last year.

The Minister for Finance lobbied the Revenue Commissioners on behalf of members of the public considerably more times than any other TD or senator last year.

New figures have shown that while most TDs make just one or two representations, Brian Cowen lobbied the Revenue 94 times in 2006.

The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern made 27 representations - the fourth highest number for any member of the Oireachtas - while Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny made six representations during the year.
