The Fine Gael Chairman Padraig McCormack is urging an end to the continued discussion on Enda Kenny's future.
Mr Kenny is taking a period of relection before announcing his new front bench team after winning a vote of confidence in his leadership yesterday.
However many commentators are still insisting the issue of his leadership is not over.
But Mr McCormack has said everyone - including the general public - must accept the Fine Gael leader is there to stay.
Mr McCormack said: "The party is not being given credit, the party made a democratic decision and once we make a democratic decision all democrats have to accept that decision."
