SIPTU seeks talks after Dublin hospital shooting

SIPTU is seeking a meeting with management at St James's Hospital in Dublin following yesterday's shooting of two security personnel.

The guards were attacked on the grounds of the hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning.

One was shot in the shoulder and the other in the elbow.

Both are now recovering from their injuries.

The incident is believed to have been related to the ejection of a number of people from the hospital earlier in the evening.
